About the maker

Hi, I’m Sarah, a ceramicist, self-proclaimed glaze nerd, and the one-woman force behind Keymer Studio where I strive to create pottery that’s both beautiful and functional. My work is intended to be used in everyday life and I hope nothing more than to make the one mug you grab each morning to start your day.

I primarily work with stoneware thrown on the pottery wheel and lovingly craft each piece 100% by hand. So, while I have a keen attention to detail and consider myself a perfectionist, I encourage you, as I do, to embrace each piece’s subtle differences as evidence of the human touch.

Each handmade piece is a canvas for the glazes I mix myself – mostly custom recipes I discovered through hours of testing and refining to find the perfect hue, texture, and finish.
